Apprentices from our partner schools have been visiting us since 2007 to gain insight into the German educational system and the carpentry apprenticeship. So far we have welcomed over 350 apprentices from Great Britain, Ireland, Hungary, Estonia and Denmark.
An exchange project usually takes about two to three weeks in which the foreign pupils are learning about traditional timber constructions as well as options for energetical restoration in our apprenticeship workshops.
Sometimes we also organise industrial placements for the duration of one week to provide the pupils with an insight into German carpentry business.
Pupils are staying at our own boarding school and are thus in direct contact with our regular apprentices.
